Enjoy this gallery of some of our dogs and previous dogs showing.   Some of them are obviously shows in other countries as many of our dogs we had shown for us at FCI shows before importing and of course I have shown a whole lot here in the USA as well. 

 

We show our dogs because we enjoy it and it helps us make sure we are staying on track with the breed standard in our kennel. Conformation showing is "an appraisal of breeding stock". Our preference is the International style shows where dogs are given a rating against the breed standard and an actual written critique by the judges rather than only a placement.

We show our dogs in AKC, UKC, ICE, IABCA. We train our dogs for their AKC Canine Good Citizen titles as well as Dash Dogs, Trick Titles, even some dock diving and weight pull. Working closely with our dogs in various types of performance also helps us make sure we are working with dogs that have a trainable and motivated temperament.

We do not expect our puppy owners to show their dogs. In fact we don't really sell puppies for showing because you can't be sure a young puppy is going to make a great show prospect. But, well-started puppies from healthy, conformationally correct, and trainable parents will make a better family member.

I no longer chase every little title, or chase points and top ten rankings like I used to.  I have been there and done that, I learned so much along the way.  I am more focused on my own dogs and breeding program to maintain these bloodlines and to let others have amazing dogs from them as show dogs, working dogs and companions.   I will show still but it will be less and I am even more proud of those who are out there showing and working with my dogs now.
